WHO WE ARE

  • Clara Duffy

    PRESIDENT

Clara Duffy attended Western Washington University where she received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Education & Social Justice. It was at Western where Clara realized her desire to conduct community centered research that exposes the gut issues of working and marginalized women. Currently, Clara is an organizer fighting for the rights and welfare of exploited and oppressed women everywhere. As a survivor of sexual assault, she studies and exposes the growing crisis that causes femicide and violence against women worldwide. She has a passion for putting research tools and methods in the hands of those most impacted. She supports communities and grass-roots organizations in developing qualitative and community-based research that they can use to share their unbiased stories and bolster their movements.

    VICE PRESIDENT

Katie Juhnke is a graduate of University of Washington Tacoma’s Ethnic, Gender, and Labor studies program. Her work focuses on political economy and labor issues with an emphasis on gender. Her passion for women’s issues began with her own migration story as a “Lost Daughter of China,” an adoptee of the One Child Policy. In addition to advocacy and research, she currently works in the food service industry and has over 10 years of experience.
